The Monsignor Edward Ryle Faith, Equity & Inclusion Event Series: Session IV
Confronting Religious Intolerance: Understanding, Challenging, and Respecting Each Other
This five-part series is supported through the generosity of the Monsignor Edward Ryle Fund and is in honor of his legacy of advocating for justice, civil rights and human dignity for all people. This session examines religious intolerance and how people of faith can resist intolerance in a constructive way.
Sponsored by Arizona Faith Network Theological Dialogue Commission and Next Steps Subcommittee, this session will include an open dialogue where we will discuss the reasons why we so often demonize others, the ways our faith traditions contribute to or challenge intolerance, and whether or not there are limits to tolerance. Participants will be asked to commit to adopting one or more actions to resist intolerance in their daily lives.
A Halal box meal will be available at 6:30 PM for a suggested $10.00 donation. The dialogue begins at 7:00 PM. If a box meal is desired, please select "General Admission & Box Meal" ticket type. If a box meal is not desired, please select "General Admission." The deadline for registering for a box meal is 9/17/2018.
Kosher or other dietary needs available upon request by calling (602) 468-3818 in advance of the event.
